Loving Our God by Learning the Language of His Text to Live Out His Teachings

The past several weeks have seen several new people to this site. Welcome! May you be blessed as you join this network. Because there may be questions as to this network's origins, here is a short history on how this all got started. I also recommend reading the first two posts dated May 18 (שלום) and July 30 (למה).
A few of us in California began the journey of learning the Bible in the original language. Our friends from Israel came all the way out here to teach a two-week intensive course in Biblical Hebrew in an immersion style (very different from traditional language learning courses). It was so fun and successful, we decided to bring them back again the following year, this time for a beginner (two-week) and an intermediate course for those who were a bit more advanced (another two-weeks). Again, the participation and student response was so positive, we're doing it again next year. However, it did beg the obvious question: "What next?" As many of you know, learning a language cannot happen two-weeks out of the year. This Ning-blog was one of the tools we felt could possibly be used to that end. It could allow our community to continually be connected around the growth that each of us is having in our Biblical Hebrew.
So, ultimately, as in the למה post (Why Study Biblical Hebrew?) we're here to continue our education and growth in the original language of the Hebrew Scriptures. That is our purpose with this network, and we encourage you to take advantage of the shared knowledge each of us has to offer.
